By the time the sun came up we were already looking down on Montreux
And on our way to Fribourg - the canton made famous by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Even the train depots are classy
La Maison du Gruyère
They gots themselves a green roof - Em was jazzed about this
6, 8, and 10 month aged cheese
After this robot cures the cheese, it will DESTROY YOU!
Then we went to go check out the castle
With a stunning view of the valley below
Excellent ramparts
Panoramic view of the surrounding towns and mountains
We were the only ones in this beautifully maintained 11th century building
Getting hungry, let's get outta here
Checking out the French-style gardens on our way out
And the church
We had lunch in the old village
Then, after cheese soup and raspberries with double cream, set off on an 8km hike
Hey, 8km, no problem, just a little saunter over to Moleson.
Except that these are the pre-alps
You can see there, the castle from which we hiked
From castle to cattle
This guy was smack dab in the middle of the footpath
After a tiring hike, we end up back at the train station to go home
