Galeras is 330 miles SW of Bogotá. We're not in any danger. There is a non-zero probability that we'll make ourselves sick on undercooked turkey (cultural exception to the veggie kitchen) because we're not used to cooking at such high altitudes (which requires longer cooking times). But I guess that's what the poultry thermometer is for.

I don't like that thunder sounds like a bomb going off. It's rainy season and I'm frequently scared by exceptionally loud thunder. I am equally unhappy that I know first-hand how frighteningly similar the sounds are.

It occurs to me that I've been in my pajamas for going on 33 hours. I can't imagine when the last time that happened was. I think I best shower and dress in "outside" clothes.

Better World Club has just expanded coverage to 16 more states. I posted something about why I like them last year.
I know switching insurance companies can be annoying, but consider switching your policy to them (you don't have to wait for your current one to expire; even if you paid for this year in full, you can usually get a refund).
