Emily is a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State. Right now she conducts visa interviews in Thai and helps Americans who are in trouble. Right now her title is something like Third Vice Consul Once Removed, but maybe one day she'll be Charge d'affaires, Plenipotentiary or Ambassatrix.
